Delete your Shiny account

Open Shiny and sign in. Go to Settings and scroll to Delete account. Read the impact information, continue, enter the confirmation phrase shown by the app, then confirm deletion. This is separate from Account settings.

Email goshinyapp@gmail.com to request deletion of your Shiny account and associated data. Send from the email linked to the account, or identify that address and explain that you cannot access it. We may need to verify ownership before processing the request. Do not send a password, verification code or payment card details. We process email deletion requests within 30 days.

The deletion flow removes your account and associated sign-in, session, membership and push-device records. It attempts to remove your managed avatar. Homes with no remaining members are deleted with their home content. Deletion in the app signs you out. To remove pending completions that may still be stored on a device, uninstall Shiny from that device (on Android you can also clear its app data).

Homes with other members remain. If you own a shared home, ownership passes to a remaining member. Shared tasks, completed work, dates and corrections remain part of the home, while your historical identity is anonymized. Leaving or being removed from a home also anonymizes your identity in that home’s history. This does not remove text or details that you or others entered into shared content.

Account removal is processed by the deletion flow. Anonymized household history remains with the surviving home. Under the Privacy Policy, limited security, diagnostic, analytics, billing and support records may remain as reasonably required for fraud prevention, audit, troubleshooting, disputes or legal obligations. The policy does not set a fixed number of days for these records or provider backups. Contact us for details of retention and deletion requests involving service providers. Deletion does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription; cancel renewal through the store.
