Agreement and eligibility

These Terms and Conditions form the agreement between you and Alexandru Ciprian Craciun for access to Shiny. By creating an account, joining a shared home, buying a subscription, or using the app, website, or API, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Shiny. If the law in your country requires a higher minimum age for digital consent, you may use the service only if you meet that age requirement.

Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials private, and promptly update information that becomes inaccurate.

You are responsible for activity that happens through your account unless the activity was caused by Shiny's own breach or another event that the law says is not your responsibility.

• Do not share passwords, session tokens, verification codes, or recovery links with others.
• Do not impersonate another person or create accounts using data you are not authorized to use.
• If you think your account was compromised, change your credentials and contact goshinyapp@gmail.com without delay.

Shared homes, collaboration, and user content

Shiny lets multiple people coordinate chores and household data inside a shared home. Content you add to a shared home may be visible to the members of that home.

You keep ownership of the content you submit, but you grant Shiny the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit, back up, display, and organize that content so the service can work.

• You are responsible for the information, attachments, names, and other content you upload or share.
• If you invite someone into a home, you are responsible for deciding that the shared content is appropriate to disclose to them.
• Do not upload unlawful content, sensitive data you are not allowed to share, malware, or content that infringes another person's rights.

Acceptable use

You may use Shiny only for lawful purposes and in ways that do not harm the service, other users, or third parties.

• Do not try to bypass authentication, abuse invitation codes, scrape private data, reverse engineer protected systems, or interfere with normal service operations.
• Do not use bots, scripts, or automated traffic to overload or probe the app, website, API, or any connected infrastructure without written permission.
• Do not submit bug reports, attachments, or other content that are intentionally false, abusive, defamatory, or malicious.

Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

Some mobile features may require a paid subscription. Store purchases are billed by Apple App Store or Google Play, while RevenueCat processes subscription status, customer management, and webhook syncing for Shiny.

When the mobile app or backend checks subscription access, it may use RevenueCat customer data together with store data such as product ID, transaction ID, purchase token, or renewal state to determine whether access should be active, expired, refunded, revoked, or in a billing-issue state.

• Subscriptions may renew automatically unless you turn off renewal in the relevant store account settings.
• Prices, trial offers, and renewal terms are shown by the store before purchase and may vary by country or promotion.
• Refunds, cancellations, and billing disputes are generally handled through Apple or Google under their own store policies, even when RevenueCat is used for subscription status.
• Shiny may adjust access if a purchase expires, is refunded, is revoked, enters a grace period, or can no longer be confirmed through RevenueCat or the store.

Privacy, permissions, and support submissions

Your use of Shiny is also governed by the Privacy Policy. If you grant device permissions, such as photo-library access or notification permission, you can later change those permissions in your device settings.

If you submit a bug report or other support request, Shiny may review the report text, attachments, and technical context needed to investigate the issue. Avoid including secrets or unnecessary sensitive data in support submissions.

Availability and changes

Shiny may add, modify, suspend, or remove features at any time. The service may be unavailable from time to time because of maintenance, updates, store-review delays, infrastructure incidents, or third-party provider outages.

Shiny may also update these terms when the product, law, or commercial model changes. The date at the top shows the current version.

Suspension, termination, and account deletion

You may stop using Shiny at any time and may request account deletion from inside the app where available.

Shiny may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated, if continued access creates security or legal risk, if required by law, or if needed to protect the service or other users.

• Termination does not automatically erase every record immediately; limited data may remain where retention is reasonably required for security, fraud prevention, billing verification, or legal compliance.
• If shared-home data was also created or needed by other members, some records may remain visible to them after your account is deleted, unless that content is separately removed.

Disclaimers, liability, and mandatory rights

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Shiny is provided on an as-available and as-is basis without a guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Alexandru Ciprian Craciun is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of Shiny.

Nothing in these terms limits any non-waivable consumer, privacy, or statutory rights that apply to you under mandatory law.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy, except to the extent mandatory consumer-protection law in your place of residence applies and overrides that choice.
